Changes to welfare by David Brewster
Hardly a day went by in April without some announcement about the introduction of new changes to the benefits system. In the last newsletter I wrote about the new Personal Independence Payment system coming in to replace the Disability Living Allowance.
This time I will start with one of the more controversial elements of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 which has become known as the “bedroom tax”.
